| Main Exclusions
: |
| 1. |
Any consequence of war, asbestos, internet operations,
riot and civil commotion, nuclear fission or fusion and
radioactive contamination. |
| 2. |
Terrorism involving the use or release or the threat
thereof any nuclear weapon or device or chemical or biological
agent. |
| 3. |
Intentional self-inflicted injury or suicide. |
| 4. |
Pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, abortion and all
complications in connection therewith. |
| 5. |
Any prohibition or regulations by any government, any
illegal or unlawful act by you or confiscation, detention,
destruction by customs or other authorities. |
| 6. |
Any consequence of big game hunting, motorcycling,
riding or driving in any kind of race, professional sporting
games, engaging in flying aerial flight as a crew member. |
| 7. |
Pre-existing conditions for which the Insured Person
had received medical treatment, diagnosis, consultation
or prescribed drugs preceding the trip. |
| 8. |
Nervous or mental disease or disorder, AIDS or AIDS
Related Complex (ARC) venereal disease, congenital anomalies
or deformities. |
| 9. |
The Insured Person engaging in naval, military or air
force service, or in any form of manual employment. |
| 10. |
The Insured Person being in any violation
of the laws or resistance to arrest. |
| 11. |
Alcoholism or drug abuse. |
| Important Notes : |
| 1. |
The insured person must be fit to travel at the time
of effecting this insurance and not be aware of any circumstances
which could lead to cancellation or disruption of the
journey, otherwise any claim could be prejudiced. |
| 2. |
The Policy shall be interpreted in accordance with the
law and jurisdiction of Hong Kong. |
| 3. |
The insurance cover for single travel shall be non-renewable
and non-cancellable, and the premium shall not be refunded
once the Policy is issued. |
| 4. |
The insured person can be covered under one travel policy
for the same journey. |
| 5. |
"One Way Journey Cover" means coverage for
insured person not returning to Hong Kong. Coverage shall
expire 5 days after the scheduled time of arrival at the
country of final destination or upon expiry of the original
period of insurance, whichever is earlier. |
| 6. |
The insurance cover will be automatically extended without
extra charge for maximum 10 days if the insured person
is unavoidably delayed during the scheduled journey. |
| 7. |
All non-professional sports including scuba diving,
bungee jumping, skiing, rafting, hanggliding, parachuting,
trekking, mountaineering or rock climbing, water sports,
and the likes are covered without extra premium. |
| 8. |
The maximum period for each journey is 90 days. No limitation
on total number of journeys for annual policy. |
| 9. |
The insured person must be:
a) Hong Kong permanent resident; and
b) The insured person must embark on his/her journey from his/her place of residence in Hong Kong to the intended destination; and
c) Aged up to 75 years old. For age between 16 to 18 years
cannot be covered under the Deluxe Plan;
if aged below 16 years old, he/she must be accompanied
by a parent or guardian during the
journey and insured under 'Individual & Children'
or 'Family' plan.

In no-event do the services guaranteed by
SOS entitle the insured person to reimbursement unless
such services are provided by and through SOS. |
| 11. |
Loss of baggage & personal effects or
personal money must be reported to the local police within
24 hours and a police report obtained. |
| 12. |
Immediate notice shall be given to QBE-HKSI
of any occurrence likely to give rise to a claim under
the policy upon the insured person return to Hong Kong.
All original invoices and receipts shall be submitted
together with the duly completed claim form within 30
days. |
