How much does the Online Banking charge?

Online Banking is FREE to offer you services, such as account enquiries, Funds Transfer, buy/sell securities, and more.


Are the Online Banking services available 24 hours?

Yes. You can access to the Online Banking service around-the-clock. While the services of "Time Deposit Placement", "Time Deposit Renewal" and "Buy/Sell Foreign Currency" can only be processed during the following hours:

How much is the maximum daily transfer limit for the Funds Transfer transactions?

There is no limit imposed as long as the Funds Transfer is within your self-owned accounts (e.g. from your savings account to your checking account). If you choose to transfer funds from your account to a third party account with the China Construction Bank (Macau), the maximum daily transfer limit is HKD10,000 or its equivalent. This limit is shared by Bank By Phone and Online Banking services.


What do I need to start using the service?

You can sign in China Construction Bank (Macau) Online Banking immediately if you have the followings:

  • A personal deposit account with China Construction Bank (Macau).
  • A Customer ID and Password for Online Banking service.
  • A computer, a modem, Internet access and a supported browser of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or above, Firefox 3.0 or above, Safari 3.0.4 or above.

How can I sign up for the services?

First, you need a deposit account with China Construction Bank (Macau). If you currently do not have a China Construction Bank (Macau) deposit account, you can open an account by visiting any branches of China Construction Bank (Macau) and sign up for the service.

If you are an existing Bank By Phone customer, you can sign in the service with your Bank By Phone Customer ID and Password now.


When will the Online Banking service be ready for use after application?

When you sign up for our Online Banking service, the Bank will send you a notification letter of Customer ID and Password. Please sign and return the acknowledgement receipt enclosed with the Password advice as soon as possible. Once we receive your acknowledgement receipt, your account will be activated immediately and you can start enjoying the convenient service.

What is eAlert?

eAlert is one of the electronic banking services. Setting up the eAlert services via our Online Banking, you can choose to be notified of any banking amd personal matters through email and/or Short Messaging Service(SMS).


Who is eligible for using eAlert Services?

All online personal banking customers could setup the alerts by choosing the preferred channel and periodicity at their own choice. Pre-registration is not required.


What is the benefit of using eAlert Services?

With China Construction Bank (Macau) eAlert services, you can:

  • Monitor every ATM withdrawal transaction, giving you greater peace of mind
  • Capture any investment opportunity
  • Manage your personal matters


Is there a charge for using eAlert Services?

Customers can enjoy free eAlert services. If a service fee is required for particular types of eAlert in the future, the Bank will notify customers accordingly.


How to setup the eAlert?

To setup the eAlert, simply sign in Online Banking and follow the following steps

  • Select "eAlert Services"
  • Select "Set up eAlert"

Where can I change my e-mail address or mobile phone number?

You could update your latest e-mail address or mobile phone number anytime by going to "Chang Personal Information" under "Customer Service" page.


When will I receive eAlert?

It depends on which types of eAlert to be received and the network performance of internet or mobile phone services providers.


Does my mobile phone service provider charge on receiving eAlerts via SMS?

Please check with your mobile phone service provider for details.


What is Cash Withdrawal Alert?

This type of alert reminds you any successfully cash withdrawal made from your selected account by any ATM at anywhere.


What is EPS Payment Alert?

This alert notifies you whenever a successful payment transaction is made via EPS payment network.


What is Stock Price Alert?

This type of Alert reminds you when the market price of the selected stock hits the preset price range.


What is Birthday Reminder?

This alert is a personal event reminder of any upcoming birthday. You can choose to be notified by the alert date and frequency. You can also input your own message.

About the use of service

Can I change or cancel an online instruction after submission?

You can change or cancel your instruction before confirmation. However, once you click the "Confirm" button on the confirmation page, the transaction will take effect and be irrevocable.


How can I print any page on the Online Banking?

Under normal circumstances, you can print the page(s) using your browser's functions. You can either click the printer icon on the toolbars or select "File" and "Print" in the menu bar.


What should I do if I've forgot my Password?

If you've forgot your Password, you should call Bank By Phone at 0800 555 during operating hours or visit any of our branches for assistance.


What should I do if there is no response after clicking on a hyperlink or an icon?

Sometimes, the Internet is slow to respond. If there is a delay, please wait. Please avoid clicking on a particular link or button repeatedly. Alternatively, you may Refresh the screen and try again.


Whenever my computer is crashed or the Internet connection is interrupted at the moment I am placing an online instruction, how do I know whether the transaction is completed or not?

Whenever there is any system problems on the Online Banking or other supporting system, all transactions with reference number assigned would be processed anyway.

When you encounter system failure before receiving the reference number, you can sign in the Online Banking again to check your account balance and transaction history. If you find no record relating to your transaction, you may consider placing a new instruction.

Will the online session be automatically logged out when it reaches the time-out limit, even if the transaction has not been completed yet?

As long as there is no activity for 10 minutes, your online session will be logged out automatically for security purpose.


Why the Online Banking service sometimes responses slow?

The speed of internet service totally depends on the net traffic. As the Internet bandwidth is limited, the response will be slow when there are many users or activities.

What is Encryption/Cryptography?

The effectiveness for encryption is measured in terms of how long the key is -- the longer key means unauthorized person would take longer time to break the code. The unit of key is in "bit".

The 40-bit encryption is an encryption standard commonly used by many browsers, that is able to generate 2^40 possible combinations. While the China Construction Bank (Macau) Online Banking is using a 128-bit encryption. It can generate 2^128 possible combinations that provides strong security protection to our customers.

Fraudulent websites are fake websites created by fraudsters that resemble respectable websites. Some fraudulent websites may even have a website address look like the genuine website addresses. On entering these fraudulent websites, personal and sensitive information keyed in will be captured by the fraudsters.

What is Spyware?

What is Nigerian email?

Usually, Nigerian email is ostensibly sent from a branch manager offering confidential business proposition. What is Internet Auction Scam?

Internet auction fraud accounts for roughly half of the reported Internet fraud cases. The most common auction frauds are failure to ship merchandise and failure to pay.

There are instances that after successfully auctioning, scammer will then send fake Transfer Order which purporting to be originated from financial institution. This fake email usually confirming the approval of payment, and the transfer amount will be credited to the buyer's account upon verification of shipment details. This urge buyer to ship the merchandise promptly, however, payment will never be received.

To safeguard against potential auction fraud,

  • Be aware that China Construction Bank (Macau) will not use web mail account to conduct China Construction Bank (Macau) business.
