  1. Eligible Customer is required to maintain valid designated Customer Type within the Promotion Period and successfully completed the Eligible Payroll Transaction in 2 consecutive months in the specific time period of Phase 1, and in each of the 6 months in the specific time period of Phase 2.
  2. The Interest Rate Offer is for reference only and is not guaranteed. The interest rate is subject to review according to changes in market conditions from time to time, the Bank reserves the right to change the interest rate at any time. Please contact our staff for details. The calculation of Bonus Interest Rate Offer is started in the next calendar month after the enrollment of the Payroll Service. To enjoy the Bonus Interest Rate Offer, Eligible Customer must fulfill designated requirements monthly, please refer to Terms and Conditions clause 11.2 for details.
  3. Eligible Balance Amount refers to the Deposit Growth Balance or Monthly Average Balance in the designated HKD Payroll Account, whichever is lower. For details, please refer to Terms & Conditions clause 11.2 (b).
  4. The Bonus Interest Rate applies only to the Eligible Balance Amount capped at HK$1,500,000 and only applicable to 6 calendar months calculated from the next calendar month after the enrollment of the Payroll Service.

Terms & Conditions (Including the Change of "Bonus Interest Rate" Effective from 1 August 2020)
Value Added Payroll Service Promotion Program (the "Program") Terms and Conditions

A. General Terms and Conditions:
  1. The Program is only applicable to personal customer who did not enroll the Valued Added Payroll Service ("Payroll Service") with China Construction Bank (Asia) Corporation Limited (the "Bank") in the past 12 months ("Eligible Customer").
  2. Unless otherwise specified, the promotion period is from July 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020, both dates inclusive ("Promotion Period"). Eligible Customer will be entitled to the offers as specified under Section B below only once during the Promotion Period; If more than one account holders are involved in the sign up, only the primary account holder will be eligible for the offers.
  3. The Program is only applicable to Designated HKD Payroll Service Account, it is not applicable to Step Up Savings Account, Smart Kid Savings Account, PREMIER Savings Account and Value-Added Mortgage Linked Checking Account enrolled with Payroll Service.
  4. If Eligible Customer is entitled to below offers in conjunction with other promotions, the Eligible Customer is only entitled to one of the offers. The decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  5. Pursuant to the requirements listed under Section B Offers below, Eligible Customer must be a valid Payroll Service customer, maintain a valid Payroll Service Account and relevant PREMIER SELECT/ PREMIER BANKING/ WISE BANKING ("Packaged Banking")/ General Banking status (if applicable) at the time of receipt of the respective offers. Otherwise, the reward under the relevant offers will be forfeited absolutely and will not be provided to the Eligible Customer through any other means.
  6. Packaged Banking customers shall be bound by the Terms and Conditions for China Construction Bank (Asia) PREMIER SELECT / PREMIER BANKING / WISE BANKING Service.
  7. Eligible Customer is also bound by relevant terms and conditions for the banking products and services under the Program, please refer to the relevant promotional materials or visit the official website of the Bank or contact our staff for details. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the relevant terms and conditions for the banking products and service, these Terms and Conditions of the Program shall prevail.
  8. The Program is not applicable to the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme customer, Private Banking customer and the staff of the Bank and the staff of the subsidiary companies of China Construction Bank.
  9. The Bank reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate any of the Offers or the Program and change these Terms and Conditions at its discretion from time to time. The Bank will give prior notice in a manner the Bank considers appropriate (including but not limited to provision of notice by electronic means). In case of dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  10. In case of any inconsistency between English and Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail. In case of dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final and conclusive.

B. Offer details:
  1. Subject to the conditions set out in this clause, the offer(s) will be offered to the Eligible Customer as listed below.
    11.1 Welcome Reward for Payroll Service:
    1. Eligible Customer must fulfill below conditions in order to enjoy the Rewards as stated below:
      1. Cash Reward Phase 1:Eligible Customer maintains valid designated Customer Type and successfully completed the Eligible Payroll Transactions (as listed below in Clause 11.1(aiii)) in 2 consecutive months in the specific time period specified as below after the enrollment of the Payroll Service within the Promotion Period, and / or

      2. Cash Reward Phase 2:Eligible Customer maintains valid designated Customer Type and successfully completed the Eligible Payroll Transactions (as listed below in Clause 11.1(aiii)) in each month in the specific time period specified as below after the enrollment of the Payroll Service within the Promotion Period, and

      3. Eligible Payroll Transaction refers to the Salary Payment directly credit to the payroll account by the employer each month through the auto-payroll service or standing instructions through other banks (Not include any transactions through the Bank’s account) and the Salary Payment amount must not less than HKD10,000 ("Eligible Payroll Transaction"). Salary Payment refers to the basic monthly salary payment (excluding commission, bonus, overtime allowance, double pay, reimbursement, MPF contribution, and/or other payment made on top of the basic salary) ("Salary Payment"). Any Salary Payment made by cash or cheque will not be considered as Eligible Payroll Transaction. If there is more than one Eligible Payroll Transaction during a month, only the transaction with the highest Salary Payment will be considered as Eligible Payroll Transaction.

    2. Reward Phase 1 will be credited to Eligible Customer’s payroll account directly on or before April 30, 2021. The Eligible Customer must also fulfill the conditions of the Program, must maintain a valid Payroll Service account and a valid designated Customer Type at the time of crediting cash reward.
    3. Reward Phase 2 will be credited to Eligible Customer’s payroll account directly on or before October 31, 2021. The Eligible Customer must also fulfill the conditions of the Program, must maintain a valid Payroll Service account and a valid designated Customer Type at the time of crediting cash reward.

    11.2 General Savings Interest Rate & Up to 0.88% p.a. Bonus Interest Rate Offer
    1. Eligible Customer can enjoy General saving interest rate upon enrollment of Payroll Service for Designated HKD Payroll Account.
      1. Saving interest of Designated HKD Payroll Account is paid on simple basis and monthly, and is calculated on 365 days in a year basis.
      2. General saving interest rate refers to the Bank’s prevailing HKD saving interest rate (which is 0.001%p.a. as quoted by the Bank on June 30, 2020 and is for reference only). The Bank reserves the right to amend the saving rates at its discretion from time to time.
    2. Within 6 calendar months ("Bonus Interest Period") from the next calendar month after the enrollment of the Payroll Service, Eligible Customer can enjoy the Bonus Interest Rate Offer (Interest Rate Offer) as stipulated in below Summary Chart on the relevant Eligible Balance Amount (as defined in clause 11.2(bii) below) in any one calendar month upon fulfilling the following conditions.
      1. Eligible Customer must successfully complete at least one Eligible Payroll Transaction (as stipulated in Clause 11.1(aiii)) in that month to enjoy the Interest Rate Offer in that respective month(s); and
      2. The "Deposit Growth Balance" refers to the average monthly total balance of all CASA in sole name or joint name (as the primary account holders) of each month during the Bonus Interest Period against its total balance as of June 30, 2020 (excludes the monthly total balance of all CASA under Step Up Savings Account, Smart Kid Savings Account, PREMIER Savings Account, Linked Checking Account under Value-Added Mortgage) ("Eligible Account"). For customer who did not hold any Eligible Account with the Bank on June 30, 2020, his/her account balance on such date will be treated as zero for calculating Deposit Growth Balance. The Interest Rate Offer is applicable to the Deposit Growth Balance or the Monthly Average Balance in the designated HKD Payroll Account, whichever is lower ("Eligible Balance Amount") and is calculated on monthly basis. If the relevant balance is denominated in foreign currency, the prevailing exchange rate as quoted by the Bank on the date as determined by the Bank will be adopted for converting the balance from the foreign currency to HKD equivalent for the purpose of calculating the amount of the total balance. The Bank reserves the right to determine the total balance based on the Bank’s system, in case of any dispute, the Bank’s decision shall be final and binding; and
      3. Interest Rate Offer applies only to the Eligible Balance Amount capped at HKD1,500,000. For Eligible Balance Amount above HKD1,500,000, no Interest Rate Offer will be offered.

        Remarks: Interest Rate Offer is for reference only and is not guaranteed. The interest rate is subject to review according to changes in market conditions from time to time, the Bank reserves the right to change the interest rate at any time. Please contact our staff for details.

        Example: Assume that Eligible Customer enrolled the Payroll Service on August 8, 2020 and meet the requirement stated in clause 11.2 (b), he or she may be eligible to the Interest Rate Offer within 6 months from the next calendar month after the enrollment of the Payroll Service (i.e. from September, 2020 to February, 2021) upon fulfilling the requirements stated above.

    3. The Monthly Average Balance refers to the sum of the daily account balance of the Designated HKD Payroll Account divided by the number of calendar days of that month. The Bank reserves the right to calculate the Monthly Average Balance based on the Bank’s system record, in case of any dispute, the Bank’s decision shall be final and binding. Total daily account balance for the month divided by the number of days in the month.
    4. The Interest Rate Offer which accrued during the Bonus Interest Month will be credited to the Eligible Customer’s Designated HKD Payroll Account directly on or before April 30, 2021 as cash rebate. The Eligible Customer must also fulfill the conditions of the Program and maintain a valid Payroll Service Account at the time of crediting cash rebate.
